- The investment seeks to replicate, net of expenses, the Alerian MLP Index. The index measures the performance of 50 prominent energy master limited partnerships. It constituents earn the majority of their cash flow from the transportation, storage, processing or production of energy commodities. The Alerian MLP Index is calculated, maintained and published by S&P in consultation with the index sponsor.
